Chemistry – Tbilisi State University
Program Overview
The Chemistry Program (English) is offered by TSU’s Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences. Established in the 2020–2021 academic year, the curriculum was developed in partnership with San Diego State University and adheres to both ACS and Georgian accreditation standards.
Spanning 4 academic years (240 ECTS), the program provides rigorous training in general, inorganic, analytical, physical, and biochemistry. Students combine foundational theoretical learning with extensive laboratory work in modern, well-equipped facilities (some renovated with SDSU support).
Graduates earn a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry, ACS-accredited, positioning them for advanced study or careers in academia, research, industry, and international pathways. Only four universities globally have such ACS-recognized undergraduate Chemistry programs.
